Erken Cumhuriyet Dönemi'nde Ankara Kent Merkezi'nin yakınında kurulmuş olan Ankara Bira Fabrikası, bira üretiminin yanında halkın dinlenme, rekreasyon gibi ihtiyaçlarını gidermesine olanak sağlaması ve modern hayatın şekillenmesi ve yerleşmesi açısından önemlidir. Günümüz Ankara'sında Erken Cumhuriyet Dönemi'nde yapılmış, günlük yaşamın temelini oluşturan birçok yapı ve düzenleme, kentin dönüşüm sürecinde yok olma tehlikesi ile karşı karşıya bulunmaktadır. Kentsel kimliğin kaybolmaması, toplumsal belleğin, kültürel mirasın sürekliliğinin sağlanması için bu yapı ve düzenlemelerin korunması, yaşatılması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada, artık üretim amacıyla kullanılmayan, Ankara Bira Fabrikası'nın yok edilmeden nasıl değerlendirileceği, mekansal olarak nasıl kullanılabileceği, ne tür bir işlevsel dönüşümle halkın günlük yaşamında yeniden yer alabileceği değerlendirilecek ve belgelenecektir. |

Ankara Beer Factory, established near the Ankara City Center in Early Republican Period, is of importance in terms of meeting the refreshment and recreation needs of the public and shaping the new modern life style, as well as producing beer. Today in Ankara, many Early Republican Period buildings, which are the base of daily life are faced with the danger of destruction. These buildings should be protected and perpetuated for the purpose of maintaining urban identification, providing the continuity of social memory and cultural heritage. The purpose of this study is to examine how Ankara Beer Factory, which is not used for production anymore, can be reused and revaluated, how the location can be used and what kind of transformation needed to place the building in daily public life. |
