Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu, Türk edebiyatında romanlarıyla ün kazanmış<br/>biri olsa bile hikâye türünde de çok sayıda eserler vermiş bir sanatçıdır. İlk eserlerini<br/>İkinci Meşrutiyet’in ilanının ardından veren sanatçı, seksen beş yıllık ömründe Türk<br/>edebiyatının çeşitli dönemlerine şahit olmuş ve güçlü kalemi ile her türlü toplumsal<br/>gelişmeyi eserlerinde yansıtmaya çalışmıştır. Hikayecilik dönemi, İkinci<br/>Meşrutiyet’ten Cumhuriyet’in ilanına kadar süren yazarın aynı zamanda Fecr-i Ati<br/>topluluğuna mensup olduğu da bilinmektedir. Balkan Savaşları ve Birinci Dünya<br/>Savaşı gibi gelişmeler sebebiyle Yakup Kadri’nin hem düşünceleri hem de edebi<br/>zihniyeti, buna paralel olarak da hikayeleri yavaş yavaş değişime uğrar.<br/>Hikayeciliğinin ilk yıllarında daha bireysel temaları işleyen Karaosmanoğlu, bilahâre<br/>Mütareke ve Milli Mücadele Dönemlerinde savaşın toplum üzerindeki tahribatına dair<br/>daha yeni hikayeler kaleme alır. Karaosmanoğlu’nun hem kendisinde hem de Türk<br/>edebiyatındaki değişimlerin izinin en rahat sürülebildiği metinler olan hikayeleri,<br/>bugüne kadar romanlarının gölgesinde kalmış ve bütüncül bir bakış açısıyla üzerinde<br/>tez seviyesinde herhangi bir çalışma yapılmamıştır. Bu çalışmada, Yakup Kadri’nin<br/>hikayeciliği dönem atmosferine bağlı olarak değerlendirilmiş ve hikayeleri toplu bir<br/>biçimde ele alınmaya çalışılmıştır. |

Yakup Kadri Karaosmanoğlu, even making his mark with his novels in Turkish<br/>literature, is an artist who also composed many works on the story genre. The artist,<br/>who gave his very first works after the announcement of the Second Constitutional<br/>Period; witnessed several periods of Turkish literature in his 85 years of lifetime and<br/>tried to reflect every kind of social development upon his works by his powerful<br/>writing. It is known that the writer, whose storytelling period lasted from the Second<br/>Constitutional Period to the proclamation of the Republic, was also connected to the<br/>Fecr-i Ati Community. As a result of such developments like the Balkan Wars and the<br/>First World War, both Yakup Kadri's thoughts and literary identity; and<br/>correspondingly his stories went through some gradual changes. Karaosmanoğlu, who<br/>have worked more on individualistic themes on his first years of storytelling,<br/>subsequently wrote new stories about the destruction of the war on the society during<br/>the Armistice and War of Independence periods. Karaosmanoğlu's stories, which are<br/>the texts that can be traced the easiest in order to see the differences in both himself<br/>and the Turkish literature, were overshadowed by his novels and there is no study done<br/>with a holistic view at a thesis level. In this thesis study, Yakup Kadri's storytelling is<br/>evaluated based on the atmosphere of the periods and his stories are tried to be handled<br/>as a whole. |
