21. yüzyıl modern dünyasının temelini oluşturan uzay ve uydular özellikle son yıllarda farklı aktörlerin de faaliyet gösterdiği son derece kompleks bir alan halini almıştır. Siyasi, askeri, ekonomik, toplumsal ve çevresel birçok sektör için son derece gerekli kaynakları bünyesinde barındıran uzay alanı, çok yönlü bir yaklaşım çerçevesinde incelenmesi gereken kapsamlı bir konudur. Bu çalışmada uzayın jeopolitik bir alan olduğu hipotezini temel alarak bu alanın nasıl belirlendiğini klasik ve eleştirel jeopolitik yaklaşımlar çerçevesinde değerlendirilecektir. Klasik jeopolitik yaklaşımların uzayı dünya üzerindeki rekabetin – kara, deniz ve havadan sonra – dördüncü boyutu olarak gören alansallaştırmasının aksine, çalışma eleştirel jeopolitik yaklaşımların klasik kurama getirdiği beş konu başlığı olan devlet mitinin eleştirisi, alansallaştırma, sınır mitinin eleştirisi, söylemsel tekilliğin eleştirisi ve bilgi-iktidar yaklaşımı çerçevesinde uzayın çok aktörlü, muğlak sınırları olan sui generis bir alan olduğunu iddia etmektedir. |

Outer space, providing the basis technology for 21th century modern World, had became an utmost complex area where myriad of actors are active recent years. Outer space is containing very essential sources crucial for myriad of sectors including political, economical, social, military and environment. Because of this issue outer space need to be examined with multifaceted approaches. This study,while acknowledging the hypothesis that outer space is a geopolitical territory, will examine the outer space with both classical and critical geopolitical theories. Despite the classical geopolitical approaches that territoralizing and evaluating outer space domain as the fourth dimension of global conflict -after land, sea and air- this study will use five main critisms of critical geopolitical approaches to classical theory -critism of state myth, territoralization, critism of boundry myth, critism of discoursive singularity and power-knowledge approach- and asserts that outer space is a sui generis area with myriad of actors and ambigious boundaries.<br/> |
