Araştırma sorusu, eğitimin ebeveynlerin çocuklarına yönelik davranışları üzerinde nedensel bir etkisinin olup olmadığıdır. Amaç, özellikle anne baba eğitiminin cezalandırma tarzlarını nasıl etkilediğini araştırmaktır. Kullanılan metodoloji Bulanık Regresyon Süreksizlik Tasarımıdır. Araç değişken olarak 1997 eğitim reformu kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar, anne eğitiminin çocukların cep telefonu kullanmasını, oyun oynamasını, televizyon izlemesini yasaklama olasılığının yanı sıra harçlık vermeme ve tokat atma olasılığını da artırdığını göstermektedir. Anne eğitiminin ceza kullanımı üzerindeki olumsuz etkileri de sunulmuştur. Bölge sınıflandırması sonuçları, yüksek gelirli bölgelerde, anne eğitimi ile çocukların cep telefonu kullanmasını, oyun oynamasını, televizyon izlemesini yasaklama ve ayrıca çocukların istediğini almama ve tokat atma olasılığı arasında pozitif bir ilişki olduğuna dair kanıtlar ortaya koymaktadır. Ancak yüksek gelirli bölgelerde yaşayan ve eğitim düzeyi yüksek annelerde dayak, ceza verme, onlarla bir süre konuşmama, arkadaşlarıyla görüşmesine izin vermeme ve çocukları internetten yasaklama olasılıkları daha düşüktür. Bulgular hane gelir düzeyi, annelerin işgücüne katılımı ve 1986 doğum kohortu hariç tutularak kontrol edilmiştir. I. bölüm giriş bölümüdür. II.bölümde eğitim kavramı, ebeveyn eğitimi ve çocuk disiplin yöntemleri anlatılmaktadır. Daha sonra deneysel tanımlama sorunu ve çözümü açıklanmıştır. III.bölümde, veriler, yöntem ve model açıklanmaktadır. IV.bölümde analizin bulguları sunulmaktadır. Bölüm V, araştırmanın sonuç bölümüdür. |

The research question is whether there is a causal impact of parental education on the behaviors of parents toward their children. The goal, in particular, is to investigate how the education of parents affects their punishment styles. The methodology that is used is the Fuzzy Regression Discontinuity Design. The 1997 education reform is used as an instrumental variable. The results indicate that maternal education raises the probability of banning the children from using mobile phones, playing games, watching TV, and also the probability of not giving pocket money and slapping. The negative impacts of maternal education on the usage of punishment are presented. The outcomes for region categorization reveal that there is a positive correlation between maternal education and the probability of banning the children from using mobile phones, playing games, watching TV, and also the probability of not buying what children want, and slapping in high-income regions. But, the probability of beating, punishments, not talking with them, not letting them see friends, and banning the children from the internet was lower among mothers with more education and living in high-income regions. The findings are checked for household income level, labor force participation, and the exclusion of the 1986 birth cohort. The outlines of this research are as follows. Chapter I is the introduction section. In chapter II, education, parental education, and child discipline methods are described. Then, the identification problem and its solution are explained. In chapter III, the data, methodology, and model are offered. In chapter IV, the findings are presented. Chapter V is the conclusion section of the research. |
