Cyberpunk, 40 yıllık sürekliliği, Bilim Kurguya dayanan kökleri, edebi ve görsel temaları zamanının kültürel yapılanmalarıyla birleşen etkili bir pazarlama stratejisi ile çok güçlü bir türdür. Cyberpunk filmleri, türün tanınırlığı ve kalıcılığı adına büyük önem taşımaktadır. Tür, özelinde oluşturulan film, metinsel ve görsel uygulamalarla kolayca tanımlanabilir. Bu uygulamalar aynı zamanda başarılı bir marka kimliğinin de öncül ve gerekli bileşenleridir. Bu yapı bir film markası için de geçerlidir. Logo ise markanın metinsel ve görsel gereksinimlerini bir araya getiren bir unsurdur. Film markalarının da birleştirici unsuru logo/logotype'larıdır. Logonun markanın özelliklerini bütüncül bir formda sunduğu düşünüldüğünde, türün temelini oluşturan film markalarının logo/logotype'ları Cyberpunk kapsamında tanımlanabilir ya da tanımlanmasına katkıda bulunabilir. Bu bağlamda bu tezde, Cyberpunk'ın tanınmasına katkıda bulunan, aynı zamanda türü temsil eden filmlerin logo/logotype'ları türü nasıl ve hangi şekillerde tanımladıklarını çözümlemek amacı ile; tipografi, renk şeması ve stil uygulamaları çerçevesinde görsel analiz yoluyla incelenmiştir. Cyberpunk filmlerinin logo/logotype'ları, aynı tür içinde yer almalarına rağmen yalnızca kendi film markalarını temsil etmektedir çünkü markalaşmanın en önemli fonksiyonu, markayı rakiplerinden ayıracak farklılaştırıcı unsurlar oluşturmaktır. Bu bağlamda, film logolarının türü tanımlayabilmesi için türün oluşumundan itibaren ortak estetik anlayışı taşıyan logo/logotype uygulamaları kullanmak türün tanınırlığını ve beraberinde marka değerini güçlendirme potansiyeli taşımaktadır. |

Cyberpunk is a very strong genre with 40 years of perseverance; with its' roots embedded in a grounded Science Fiction, literary and visual themes submerged with timely cultural interventions and a remarkable marketing strategy. Genre-essential Cyberpunk films are crucial for genres' vast recognition and tenacity. A genre-essential film is easily identifiable through its' textual and visual applications. These applications are also initial to and necessary components for a successful brand identity. Preferably, a logo is a compact representation of textual and visual applications of a brand, including, a film brand. In this context, a genre-essential film brands' logo/logotype is identified as and/or help identify the Cyberpunk genre. Accordingly, in this dissertation, films that not only contributed the understanding of Cyberpunk but actively formed the genre are observed through visual analysis of their logo/ logotypes in the framework of typography, color scheme and stylistic elements in order to evaluate the ways in which they identify as or help identify the Cyberpunk genre. Logo/logotype of a genre-essential film brand exists to represent itself, even though they exist within the same genre framework, since brandings' foremost purpose is to establish differentiators to set the brand apart from competition. Therefore, adopting a similar aesthetic to logo/logotypes, from the very beginnings a genre is promisingly advantageous for the enhancing recognition along with its' brand value.<br/> |
