Bu tez, halkın "sıfır atık" terimini nasıl anladığını araştırmakta ve insanların bunu geri dönüşümle eşdeğer tutup tutmadığını ya da daha geniş anlamlarını ve günlük rutinlerdeki uygulanabilirliğini incelemektedir. Araştırmada, sıfır atık uygulamalarının günlük hayatta nasıl uygulanacağını etkileyen faktörleri keşfetmek amacıyla derinlemesine mülakatlar kullanmıştır. Bu mülakatlar, bireylerin karşılaştığı çeşitli zorlukları ve engelleri, ayrıca sıfır atık ilkelerine bağlılığı teşvik eden motivasyonları ve teşvikleri belirlemiştir. Sıfır atık felsefesi çerçevesinde ürün alımları da mülakatlar esnasında araştırılan konulardandır. Katılımcıların farklı bakış açıları ve deneyimlerini analiz ederek, bu çalışma, sürdürülebilir atık yönetimi davranışlarını teşvik etmek ve sıfır atık uygulamalarını günlük rutinlere entegre etmek için etkili stratejilere dair önemli içgörüler sunmaktadır. Bulguların, sıfır atık girişimlerine yönelik kamu farkındalığını ve katılımını artırmak için pratik yaklaşımlar geliştirilmesi açısından faydalı olabileceği değerlendirilmektedir. |

This thesis investigates the public's understanding of the term "zero waste" and examines whether people equate it with recycling or recognize its broader implications and applicability in daily routines. The research employed in-depth interviews to explore the factors affecting the implementation of zero waste practices in everyday life. These interviews identified various challenges and barriers individuals face, as well as the motivations and incentives that encourage adherence to zero waste principles. By analyzing the diverse perspectives and experiences of the participants, this study provides insights into effective strategies for promoting sustainable waste management behaviors and integrating zero waste practices into daily routines. The findings have significant implications for developing practical approaches to enhance public awareness and participation in zero waste initiatives. The thesis is structured into several chapters, each addressing a specific aspect of the research question, including country implementations, findings, and their implications for sustainable waste management. |
