Dr. Martin's research focuses on legislative organization. He maintains a strong interest in Irish politics. He previously taught at Dublin City University, the Pennsylvania State University, the University of California, San Diego and held a Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Trinity College Dublin. He currently serves on the editorial board of Legislative Studies Quarterly and Irish Political Studies and was founding Co-Convenor of the ECPR Standing Group on Parliaments and Founding Co-Director of the European Summer School on Parliaments.)
