(Celtic peoples: The Celts were a group of peoples, bound by a common Indo-European cultural and linguistic heritage, who spread over much of Europe from the 2d millemmium B.C. to about the 1st century B.C. They included the Gauls, the Galatians, and the Belgae, as well as the ancestors of the present-day Irish, Scottish, and Welsh.)
