He is the bestselling author of eight novels, which have been published in nineteen territories. His first novel, Kinyas Kayra, was published in 2000, and is considered the first underground novel in Turkey. His novel More received Le Prix Medicis Etranger 2015 and the award for Best Turkish Novel of 2011.
