Bu tez kapsamında bir "utility token" türü olan Fan Tokenların Türkiye ve dünyada hâlihazırdaki ve gelecekteki potansiyel kullanımı incelenmektedir. Son yıllarda kripto varlıkların tüm dünya genelinde giderek popülerleşmesi sonucu her geçen gün artan sayıda yenilikçi kripto varlıklar piyasaya çıkmaktadır. Fan Tokenlar da bu kapsamda son yıllarda öne çıkan bir kripto varlık olarak tez kapsamında ele alınmıştır. Fan Tokenların diğer kripto varlıklardan ayrışan tarafları, teknik altyapısı, kullanım amaçları, finansal değeri, spor taraftarları ve spor kulüplerine getirdiği faydalar ve katma değer, piyasaya sunuluş yöntemleri, başta Türkiye olmak üzere kullanıldığı ülkelerin yasal düzenlemelerindeki yeri, günümüz ve gelecekteki spor dünyasında kullanım potansiyeli, spor dünyasına getirdiği ya da getirebileceği finansal yeniliklerin ve modellerin incelenmesi tezin konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Bu çalışmayla, Fan Token kullanımının spor sektöründeki mevcut ve gelecekteki olası durumunun, arkasındaki teknoloji ve altyapısıyla birlikte ele alınması amaçlanmıştır.

Within the scope of this thesis, the current and future potential use of Fan Tokens, which is a type of "utility token", in Turkey and in the world is examined. In recent years, as a result of the increasing popularity of crypto-assets all over the world, an increasing number of innovative crypto assets are coming to the market. In this context, Fan Tokens are also discussed in the thesis as a prominent crypto asset in recent years. Examining; the sides of Fan Tokens that differ from other crypto assets, their technical infrastructure, purposes of use, financial value, the benefits, and added value they bring to sports fans and sports clubs, the methods of their introduction to the market, their place in the legal regulations of the countries where they are used, especially in Turkey, the potential for use in today's and future sports world, the financial innovations and models that it has brought or can bring to the sports world are the subject of the thesis. With this study, it is aimed to discuss the current and future possible situation of Fan Token usage in the sports sector, together with the technology and infrastructure behind it.
