Bu çalışmada, anneden algılanan narsisistik özellikler ile psikolojik yardım aramaya yönelik tutum arasındaki ilişkide öz-yeterlik ve öz-saygının aracı rollerinin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi uygun örnekleme yöntemi ile oluşturulmuş ve araştırmaya katılım sırasında herhangi bir ruh sağlığı hizmeti almayan 18-63 yaş aralığındaki 319 katılımcı örnekleme dahil edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada veriler Sosyo-demografik Bilgi Formu, Anneden Algılanan Narsisistik Özellikler Ölçeği, Genel Öz-Yeterlik Ölçeği, Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği, Psikolojik Yardım Aramaya Yönelik Tutum Ölçeği-Kısaltılmış Form ile toplanmıştır. Çalışmanın veri analizi seri çoklu aracı değişken analizi ile yürütülmüştür. Analiz sonucunda, öz-yeterlik ve öz-saygının anneden algılanan narsisistik özellikler ile psikolojik yardım aramaya ilişkin tutum arasındaki ilişkide seri aracılık etmediği bulunmuştur. Bununla birlikte öz-yeterliğin anneden algılanan narsisistik özellikler ile psikolojik yardım aramaya ilişkin tutum arasındaki ilişkide aracılık etmediği fakat öz-saygının bu ilişkide kısmi aracı rol oynadığını görülmüştür. Çalışma bulguları alanyazındaki bulgular kapsamında tartışılmıştır.

In the current study, the aim was to investigate the roles of self-efficacy and self-esteem in the relationship between perceived maternal narcissism and attitudes toward seeking psychological help (ATSPH). The sample of the study was constructed with the convenience sampling method, and 319 participants between the ages of 18-63 who did not receive any mental health services at the time of participation in the study were included in the sample. In this study, data were collected using the Socio-demographic Information Form, the Perceived Maternal Narcissism Scale, the General Self-Efficacy Scale, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale and the Attitudes Toward Seeking Psychological Help Scale-Shortened, respectively. The data of the study were analyzed using serial mediation analysis. The results indicated that self-efficacy and self-esteem did not serially mediate the relationship between perceived maternal narcissism and ATSPH. Also, it has been found that self-efficacy did not mediate the relationship between perceived maternal narcissism and ATSPH, but self-esteem plays a partial mediating role in this relationship. The study findings were discussed within the scope of existing literature.
