Bu çalışma Başkent Ankara?da Vekaletler Mahallesi?nin kuzey ucunda bulunan ve bu alanın kente açılan kapısı olan Güvenpark?ın mekansal, sosyal ve ideolojik anlamlarını deşifre etmektedir. Parkın yapıldığı yıllardaki anlamının okunması dönemin ideolojisinin mekansal ve sosyal yapıya etkisi bağlamında ele alınmıştır. Cumhuriyet rejiminin sosyal ve fiziksel olarak inşa edildiği dönemin önemli mekansal öğesi olan Güvenpark ve Güven Anıtı modernleşme sürecinde ülkede yaşanılan değişimin ve dönüşümün bir parçası olarak incelenmektedir. Arşiv dokümanlarının, eski gazetelerin, dergilerin, fotoğrafların, haritaların ve dönemi konu alan edebi eserlerin analizi yoluyla, parkın ulusun inşası sürecindeki yeri ve anlamı üzerine analiz yapılmıştır. Parkın dönemler içerisinde geçirdiği dönüşümler, buna bağlı olarak meydana gelen mekansal ve anlamsal değişimler irdelenmiş, parkın kurgulandığı yıllardan günümüze kadar olan süreçteki durumu eleştirel bir yaklaşımla değerlendirilmiştir.

In this study, the spatial, social and ideological meanings of Güvenpark which is located at the north end of the Vekaletler Quarter in the capital city Ankara, and which serves as the gateway of the area to the city are decoded. Reading the meaning of the park in the years it was built was discussed in the context of the effect of the ideology of the period on the spatial and social structure. As an important spatial element of the period in which the Republican regime was both socially and physically built, Güvenpark with Güven Monument has been examined as a part of the changes and transformations experienced during the modernization process in the country. By analyzing the archive documents, newspaper collections, magazines, photographs, maps and literary works relating to that period, the place and the meaning of the park in the process of the constitution of the nation-state have been analyzed. The periodic transformations which the park has went through and the consequent spatial and semantic alterations occurring have been assessed while evaluating the status of the park within the period from the years it was established till present with a critical approach.
