Bu kapsamda, ilk olarak; deniz güvenliği terimi ve tehdit algıları tanımlanmıştır. Ardından 1995 yılında Ole Weaver tarafından ortaya konulan "güvenlikleştirme" kavramı incelenmiş ve analiz için bir çerçeve belirlenmiştir. Son olarak ise güvenlikleştirme yaklaşımının deniz güvenliğine hangi güvenlikleşitirici aktörler tarafından nasıl uygulandığı analiz edilmiştir.Summary: In this thesis, the concept of maritime security, which is frequently mentioned in the literature of international relations and security studies, but which does not yet have a consensus on its definition, is analyzed within the framework of the "securitization" approach put forward by the Copenhagen School. The study focuses on the research question "by whom and how securitization theory is applied to maritime security? ` In this context, firstly; marine security term and threat perceptions are defined. Then the concept of securitization introduced by Ole Weaver in 1995 was examined and a framework for analysis was determined. Finally, how and by which securitization actors applied the securitization approach to maritime security was analyzed.
